Dance of the Dead on Spain Holiday Rentals

Not a time one likes to think about when in SPAIN HOLIDAY RENTALS. Death always seems so final but in the village of Vergas, death literally dances through the streets. Five dancers in skeleton costumes dance to the beat of a solemnly played drum wearing a black tunic and a skull mask. The parade is part of the Easter parade and is the final act to a passion play played out by many of the village inhabitants. It’s an age old tradition since the 14th century that many other cultures have dropped from their yearly festivals.
