Spain Holiday Rentals for a visit to remember at the Alhambra

The palace of the Alhambra was the most visited monument in Spain in 2010 and easily the most popular monument visited in 2011 for those on their SPAIN HOLIDAY RENTALS. For those who read Washington Irving's Tales of the Alhambra does not take much for the imagination to run wild. Irving stayed in Granada and the Alhambra, especially during the 1820s where he wrote much of the book. The book is thought to have been the saving grace of this monument. The Spanish government declared it a national monument in 1870 after the great interest it received from Washington Irving and other romantic writers of the era such as Richard Ford.
