Sangria from the Owners Direct

OWNERS DIRECT their guests to the table by the pool where a jug of sweetened Sangria sits. Sounds to me like an excellent idea, maybe more of the owners should do that. Nevertheless this is about Sangria: where the name came from, a little about its history, there is something for the brandy drinkers too. Sangria comes from the Latin name Sangre which means blood and as the drink is based on the stronger wines perhaps because of its red colour it received the name. If it was not for the Muslims importing oranges, honey and even cinnamon, maybe it would never have happened.
