Avila Owners Direct Holiday Makers to the Right Wall

OWNERS DIRECT know their home towns better than most and those that live in Avila know that their city is listed in the World Heritage by UNESCO. Spain has 11 of its cities listed and no other country in the world has so many. The Vettones were the first to settle on this mountain top, the highest city in Spain. The Romans though founded the city with a new name Avila, the Moors followed around 714 and took the town from the Visigoths keeping the town name. The walls that surround the city of Avila were built in 109. With 88 towers and 9 gates, it’s now believed to be the largest lit monument of its kind in the world.
