The Island of Tabarca from Alicante Villas

When you’re in your VILLAS IN ALICANTE do not pass up the chance to take a ferry out to the Island of Tabarca. It’s only 11 miles off the coast from Alicante, a small island whose inhabitants were originally from Genoa although that was many generations ago. Now the island has many historical monuments to visit along with some lovely beaches and wildlife. Nowadays it’s a natural park although it has been used by pirates as a staging post for their attacks against the mainland.
