While you're staying at your villas in Elche make time to visit Albatera when it is celebrating the exciting festival of St. James in July. The St James festival is akin to a Moorish and a Christian festival and like a lot of fiestas it last for a week. During this period novice bull fighters attempt to subdue the young bulls, it’s just a lot of fun to watch. There is enough in this little village to keep you busy but if its serenity you need it's here in the bucket loads as well.

For your last look at Mudejar's art form while staying in your Catalonia rentals visit some of the churches in the area where you will find that they are divided into three groups. It becomes easy to tell them apart as there are the ones with one nave, then the ones with three aisles and last is the fortresses churches. There is one last category which entails the bell towers which represents the most visible element in the Mudejar art form that is evident in the geometric patterns of brick work and coloured ceramics along with niches, windows and buttresses.
