Spain Holiday Homes for Templars and a Holy See

You never think history is all that interesting. All the while in SPAIN HOLIDAY HOMES though having chances to visit places with such a wealth of it hidden in the walls and towers of castles. History has started to grow on me. Peniscola Castle was once the home of Pope Benedict XIII (Pedro de Luna) and owned by the Templar Knights. The castle was built on the remains of a Moorish fortress which in turn was built on top of a peninsula 67 meters high connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand. Throughout history it has been a fortified construction of some kind consecutively fortified and destroyed by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and the Arabs.
