Valencian Rebirth and a Great Place for a Holiday Villa in Spain

What better place to enjoy something new with your HOLIDAY VILLAS IN SPAIN than in a town that has seen a rebirth after disaster? Valencia is one of the many cities plagued by the Gota Fria, a regular deluge that always happens during the autumn and often the cause for flooding. When in 1957 Valencia was hit by its biggest flood in history, causing the death of 81 people and millions of pesetas in damage, it was time for Valencia to say enough is enough and set about diverting the river. Afer diverting the river, the dry bed became a wonderful garden that since has seen much tourist activity as ping pong to football and even mountain biking are performed there. While at the end, a new city has grown out of the disaster: the “Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències”.
