Taking a Stroll in the Parque Del Retiro, Spain

One of the most beautiful tourist spots Parque Del Retiro is situated very near to another major tourist location Prado Museum. Also known as " The Park of Pleasant Retreat”, its history dates back to as early as 1630's, when it was created as part of the Royal Palace by King Philips IV. Opened to the public since the late 19th century this beautiful park is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll, boat or carriage ride or even have your fortune told by one of the many fortune tellers found here .The beautiful artificial pond Estanque del Retiro, the Rosadela Rose Garden are a few of the many attractions to be seen at Retiro Park. The Parque del Retiro in Madrid is also a great place to visit where lots of events take place. This beautiful park is full of art and many international exhibitions are hosted here. Summer concerts usually run from late May through early October and are usually scheduled every Sunday or on a special occasion such as the Annual Book Fair.
