When you visit Alicante in Valencia Spain you are bound to enjoy a modern form of transport; the tram. The Alicante tram is fast and will get you to various destinations around the Costa Blanca. The tram which is run by a Valencian railway company FGV offers both day and night services. You will have no problem boarding the tram because it has five stops within Alicante city. The tram also has different lines at various points in the city including Mercado and Puerta del Mar, However only five are currently active. When you board an Alicante to Benidorm-bound tram you will use tram Line 1 where the train stops half hourly. Line 1 then later connects with line 9 which you take if you want to reach Denia. On your way to Denia you will pass through Altea and Calp tourist townships. The tram also uses Line 3 which stops every fifteenth minute on your way to El Campello. Additionally the tram in Alicante also uses line 4 and 4L and both lines start at Alicante port and will take you to San Juan and Sanguenta respectively.
