The Beautiful La Dama de Elche

Dama de Elche was discovered in 1897 and is a famous archaeological site located approximately two kilometers south of Elche. According to dating experiments this polychrome came in about 5th and 4th B.C. and is considered to be the chief masterpiece of all Iberian arts. The major features that attract the attention of many visitors are the goddess made of limestone and an old statue resembling a woman which measures around 56 cm. The lips of this statue have blue, white and red color remaining and the tunic and the veil on the statue are colored too. It is enclosed by a veil and tightly held with tiara and supported by 2 huge buns. Her shoulders are covered with a shawl and have 3 gorgeous necklaces on the chest and she wears very attractive bracelets. She is a woman with an unfathomable gaze. The beautiful Dama de Elche resides in National Museum is Spain. It is a fantastic place to visit on your holiday and there are many fantastic villas for rent in Elche also.
