El Torcal de Antequera

Torcal de Antequera (plateau of limestone) is located about twenty miles north of Malaga in Spain and across it you find eccentrically eroded rock patterns that create an illusion of a prehistoric city, Abnormally realistic sculptural structures, and enormous bastions; which are divided by rubble-strewn ditches and alleys labyrinths. The remains are actually effects of landscape erosion as the Limestone was dissolved by water leading to big openings and ultimately tunnels subside creating trenches. El Torcal de Antequera keeps reshaping with time which creates more attractive features as time goes on and these gradual changes caused by weather and wind attract many tourists year by year. The limestone that makes up this plateau still has water running on it as it seeps to the fractures in regions below creating new sets of channels, caves and chasms. In time those ceilings may end up collapsing and once more forming another new landscape. It is fascinating vicinity that you really must witness. El Torcal de Antequera is just one of the fantastic attractions found here and more points of interest and holiday villas in Costa de Sol can be found online.
